Herbert Dwain Callies, son of Marie Schutt and Herbert Callies, was born March 21, 1933 in northern Iowa. Dwain passed away October 27, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

   Timothy A. Simpson of Corning, Iowa passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the age of 47 years old.  Tim was born on April 29, 1964 to D.C. and Janice (Stringham) Simpson in Independence, Missouri.

  Olive Virleen Verploegh passed on October 21, 2011 just a few days after celebrating her 96th birthday while under the excellent and compassionate care of the staff at North Central Health Care, Wausau, Wisconsin.

   James George Votava, son of Louise (Matus) Votava and Louis Frank Votava, Sr., was born June 9, 1925 at Morris Bluff, Nebraska. Jim passed away October 29, 2011 at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston.

    Edna  Mae Gibson, 89, of Madrid, formerly of Slater, died October 24, 2011 at the Madrid Home. She was born April 13, 1922 in Kellerton, Iowa to Clifford and Bessie (Reynolds) Greenman.

   Bertha May Brown Motsinger, only daughter of Charles and Susan Winstone Brown, was born December 30, 1931 in Adams county near Corning, Iowa. Following a year-long illness, Bertha’s wish was granted that she was brought back to Mount Ayr to leave this earth peacefully with family by her side. Bertha passed away October 21, 2011 at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. 

   Dorothy Louise Keller, age 81, of Grand River, Iowa, was born September 10, 1930 to Virgil James and Bessie Lorraine (Glazebrook) Buell, north of Grand River in Decatur county, Iowa. She passed from this life at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, Iowa on Wednesday, October 12, 2011.

   Wilma Jean Pottorff, daughter of Ruth Davis and Samuel Grimes, was born May 10, 1931 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jean passed away on October 9, 2011 at the Donnellson Health Center in Donnellson, Iowa.

   Leonard Lee Still, 82, of Conesville, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction, Iowa. Still was born on February 24, 1929, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, the son of Leonard Lon and Mary Ellen (Parker) Still

   Vernice Pauline Adkisson, 93, was born on July 28, 1918 to Lewis and Hazel (Baker) Adams in Worth county, Missouri. She departed this life on October 4, 2011 at the Health Care Center in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
