The Mount Ayr Community Athletic Booster Club is planning to begin construction of much needed new restrooms and a concession stand at the baseball/ softball complex near the existing structure.
The Booster Club has been working diligently over the past few months raising money for the project. They have raised over $7,000, but much more is needed to insure the building will be a top quality, serviceable structure for the use of athletes, fans and visitors to Mount Ayr Community athletic events.
Ron Landphair has donated his expertise by drawing up the plans for the new concession stand that will be constructed directly east of the existing structure. Part of the roof of the existing building will be used as a covered “picnic “ area on the west end of the new structure.
The Booster club realizes that building supplies, plumbing work and concrete are costly, but they also know that the existing facility is inadequate and out of date.
