The Mount Ayr Community Raiderette golf team set a new team nine-hole mark for the Mount Ayr Golf and Country Club course on Tuesday, April 20 when the Raiderettes and Raiders faced East Union and Southeast Warren in golf action.
The Raiderettes shot 192 to defeat the Southeast Warren Warhawks and run their season record to 7-0. Molly Budach took medalist honors with a 45 and Kelsey Glendennig recorded a 47 for runner up honors. Johanna Scott carded a season best 48, Annie Uhlenkamp had a 52, Jacy England a 54 and Maci Sickels completed the Mount Ayr scoring with a 55.
East Union boys fired a great round of 158 to defeat both Mount Ayr (204) and Southeast Warren (224).
Taylor Mayne from East Union took medalist honors with a 38 and the Eagles’ Drew Greene was the runner up with a 39. The Raider scoring included Jake Glendenning, 42; Dusty Lyden, 50; Russell Reynolds, 52, and Alex Wallace, 60.
The Raiders have a 3-5 record for the 2010 season.
