RUSSELL HOWARD COCHRAN

RUSSELL HOWARD COCHRAN, SON OF EARL AND MYRTLE COCHRAN, WAS BORN NEAR ROUNDUP, MT., ON AUGUST 4, 1917 AND DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT REDDING, IOWA, AT 7:30 A.M. MONDAY, JANUARY 20, 1930, BEING 12 YEARS, FIVE MONTHS AND 16 DAYS OLD. FROM HIS BIRTH RUSSELL HAD BEEN AN INVALID, NEVER ABLE TO WALK NOR TO SIT ALONE IN A CHAIR.

TO THESE PARENTS HAS COME THE DEATH OF TWO CHLDREN, ORLO AND VERLE, THE FORMER BEING 19 MONTHS OLD AT THE TIME OF HIS PASSING AND VERLE NINE YEARS OLD.

THREE CHILDREN REMAIN, ELTON, EVELYN MAY AND ROSELLA RUTH.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE CONDUCTED BY REV. F.W. AMACK, PASTOR OF MIDDLE FORK METHODIST CHURCH OF WHICH THE BEREAVED PARENTS ARE MEMBERS. INTERMENT IN MIDDLE FORK CEMETERY.

JESUS HAS CALLED HIM UP HIGHER “AND THE STREETS OF THE CITY SHALL BE FULL OF BOYS AND GIRLS PLAYING IN THE STREETS THEREOF.” ZECHARAIAH 8:5. SO RUSSELL, WHO NEVER WAS ABLE TO PLAY WITH OTHER CHILDREN HERE WILL FIND GOD’S CITY A DELIGHTFUL PLACE IN WHICH HE MAY PLAY WITH OTHERS AND THAT HEAVEN IN WHICH BOYS AND GIRLS RECEIVE THE SMILES OF THE MASTER, WHO HAS HIMSELF ONCE A CHILD OF EARTH.
