Martha Elizabeth Michael Stull

Martha Elizabeth Michael Stull was born December 11, 1888, in Ringgold County, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John H. Michael, and departed this life on December 7, 1968, just four days short  of her 80th birthday anniversary in the Clearview Nursing Home.

On February 22, 1921, she was united in marriage with Roy Stull, and of this union were born two sons, John and Don. Her husband preceded her in death on January 8, 1949.

Lizzie, as she was affectionately called, in her younger years was a school teacher. Later on she was a farmer’s wife; then she was a resident of Mount Ayr until ill health forced her to take up residence in the Clearview Home. During the years she spent in the nursing home she was a cheerful, happy person who brought sunshine to the lives of everyone who came into her room. In the midst of her prolonged illness, she was very cooperative and did not complain. She was a member of the First Baptist Church for many years.

Those who survive are her sons, John and wife Trula of Leavenworth, KS., and Don and wife Dorothy of Mount Ayr, and two grandchildren, Patti and Ricky Stull of Mount Ayr.

Funeral services were held December 8, from the First Baptist Church in Mount Ayr with the Rev. Albert R. Snyder, pastor of the church officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr.
