HATTIE ANDERSON ALLYN

HATTIE, DAUGHTER OF PERRY AND EVA ANDERSON, WAS BORN OCTOBER 30, 1885, IN MOUNT AYR AND DEPARTED THIS LIFE JANUARY 16, 1969, IN HER HOME IN MOUNT AYR, AT THE AGE OF 83 YEARS,

MRS. ALLYN SPENT HER ENTIRE LIFE IN THIS COMMUNITY.

ON APRIL 9, 1911, SHE WAS UNITED IN MARRIAGE WITH CLINT D. ALLYN, ALSO A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF MOUNT AYR, AND OF THIS UNION WERE BORN THREE CHILDREN.

SHE WAS HIGHLY RESPECTED CITIZEN OF THE COMMUNITY AND A MEMBER OF THE METHODIST CHURCH AND CHAPTER CK, PEO. SHE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY HER FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND NEIGHBORS.

PRECEDING HER IN DEATH WERE HER HUSBAND IN  1949; HER PARENTS; THREE BROTHERS, RAY, GUY AND ORA, AND TWO SISTERS, BERYL SCOTT AND FERN SPURRIER.

THOSE WHO REMAIN TO CHERISH HER MEMORY ARE A SON, ALLAN ALLYN OF FORT MADISON; TWO DAUGHTERS, ANNABELLE (MRS. CRAIG CARTER) OF INDIANAPOLIS, IN., AND THEDA (MRS. HAROLD CRISWELL) OF BATTLE CREEK, MI.; FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, MICHAEL CLINTON ALLYN, LINDA ANN CARTER, HARRIETT CRISWELL BIERI, SUSAN ALLYN CRISWELL AND MARI LYNN CRISWELL AND TWO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, THOMAS EDWARD AND DEBORAH ANN BIERI.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD JANUARY 19 FROM THE RHOADES FUNERAL HOME, CONDUCTED BY THE REV. JEROLD SWINTON. MUSIC WAS PROVIDED BY MRS. HARRISON LINK, VOCALIST, AN D MARGARET PENCE, ORGANIST, AND CASKETBEARERS WERE GEROLD WILLEY, ROLAND EVANS, CHAS. J. LESAN, W.B. CUNNING, F.E. MCNEILEY AND WILLIAM FRENCH. BURIAL WAS IN THE ROSE HILL CEMETERY AT MOUNT AYR.
