Lloyd M. Nealis

Lloyd M. Nealis was born September 18, 1894, in Mulhall, OK and passed away December 22, 1969, in the Greater Community Hospital in Creston at the age of 75 years.

Mr. Nealis was one of a family of eight children, all of whom have preceded him in death, with the exception of a sister, who resides in Oklahoma.

At the beginning of World War I, he enlisted in the armed forces and was stationed in Texas. Before embarking for overseas service in France, he was united in marriage with Anna McGregor on March 21, 1918. She preceded him in death March of 1960.

After his return from France, the family moved to Iowa. He farmed in the Tingley community until 1948, when they moved into Tingley, where they resided their remaining years.

He is survived by a son, Bill, daughter-in-law, Doris, and two grandchildren, Cheryl and Gary all of whom reside in North Edwards, CA.

Others who will remember him are nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral services were held December 24, from the Christian Church in Tingley, with the Rev. John Blackadar officiating. Mrs. Francis Smith was the organist and casketbearers were Elton Werner, Clare Johnson, Craig Riggs, Larry Ryan, Roger Morrison and Billy Breckenridge. Burial was in the Tingley Cemetery.
