ALVERTA G. BRINER DAILEY

ALVERTA G. DAILEY WAS BORN ON JULY 28, 1927 IN COMSTOCK, NEBRASKA, TO BURL AND VIOLET BRINER.  ALVERTA PASSED AWAY ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15, 2009 AT RINGGOLD COUNTY HOSPITAL IN MOUNT AYR, IOWA.

IN HER EARLY CHILDHOOD THE FAMILY MOVED BACK TO RINGGOLD COUNTY.  ON MAY 20, 1944 SHE WAS MARRIED TO GEORGE DAILEY WHERE THEY FARMED IN RINGGOLD COUNTY.  SHE WOEKED ALONGSIDE HER HUSBAND ON THE FARM.

THEY WERE MARRIED 65 YEARS.  ON SEPTEMBER 21, 1945, THEY WERE BLESESD WITH A SON, PAUL LEROY DAILEY AND OCTOBER 21, 1950, THEY HAD A DAUGHTER, NANCY LEE DAILEY.

ALVERTA AND HER FAMILY WERE MEMBERS OF THE RINGGOLD COUNTY SADDLE CLUB.  THEY WENT TO HORSE SHOWS IN MISSOURI AND IOWA.  ALVERTA LOVED TAKING CARE OF HER FAMILY, DECORATING FOR THE HOLIDAYS, GARDENING AND TENDING TO HER FLOWERS.  SHE ALSO ENJOYED CROCHETING, EMBROIDERING, QUILTING AND CRAFTS.

ALVERTA LOVED HAVING HER NIECES AND NEPHEWS COME AND STAY.  SHE HAD A GREAT LOVE FOR HER GRANDCHILDREN.

ALVERTA WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY A SON, PAUL LEROY; PARENTS, BURL AND VIOLET BRINER; FATHER AND MOTHER-IN-LAW, CLARENCE AND FLORENCE DAILEY; SISTER JOQUETTA BRINER AND BROTHER-IN-LAWS, JOHN DAILEY AND ELLIS MAUDLIN.

LEFT TO CHERISH HER MEMORY ARE HER HUSBAND, GEORGE DAILEY; DAUGHTER, NANCY AND DAVID LYNCH; GRANDSON, JASON LYNCH AND WIFE TARA; GRANDDAUGHTER, MEGAN BROWN AND HUSBAND, DAVID; GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, PAIGE AND PAUL (P.J.) LYNCH AND SETH AND DEVEN BROWN; BROTHERS RICHARD AND DORIS BRINER, EARL AND COLLEEN BRINER, TYRONE AND DENICE BRINER, VAN AND ELAINE BRINER, AND GREG AND DORIS BRINER; SISTERS CLAUDETTE YOUNG, CANDELL SMITH, PAM AND DAN WEIGLE AND DEBBY BRINER; SISTERS-IN-LAW, DORIS DAILEY, LUCY MAUDLIN, AND MARY DETLOFF, AND SPECIAL COUSINS, ELMA SELSOR, EMMA AND LEO DUREE AND LOWELL AND CLARA MAY GRIM.

SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED AT WATSON-ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME IN MOUNT AYR ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2009 AT 1:30 P.M. WITH PASTOR EYDIE STEPHENS OFFICIATING. CASKET BEARERS ARE JASON LYNCH, MEGGAN BROWN, DAVID BROWN, GLEE MOBLEY, RON MOBLEY, AND GREG MOBLEY.

ALVERTA WILL BE LAID TO REST AT MARSHALLTOWN CEMETERY NEAR BENTON, IOWA.
