Duane A. Scherrueble, 41, of Aurora, Illinois passed away on Friday, July 3, 2009, at Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora. He was born September 17, 1967 in Aurora, Illinois, the beloved son of Richard and Marjorie (Parker) Scherrueble.
Despite ill health, Duane always had a smile on his face. He battled courageously to the end. He always loved trains and swimming.
Duane was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Esther Parker, and his paternal grandparents, Milton and Cleora Scherrueble.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving parents, Richard and Marjorie Scherrueble of Aurora, Illinois; two sisters, Kimberly (Tim) Forbes and their children, Emily and Tim, of Sheridan, Illinois and Kelly (David) Harter and their children, Paige and Kaci, of Gilberts, Illinois; two aunts, Helen (Tom) Gutt of Liberty, Missouri and Joyce (Stan) Manship of Dallas, Texas; two uncles, Dale (Kathy) Parker of Holt, Missouri and Doyle Parker of Shannon City, Iowa, as well as many cousins.
A memorial fund has been established to the American Diabetes Association.
Services were held at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa on Thursday, July 9, 2009, with Rev. Merlin Wilkins officiating.
Casket bearers were Kimberly Forbes, Tim Forbes, Kelly Harter, David Harter, Doyle Parker and Tim Forbes, Jr.
Duane was laid at rest in the Redding Cemetery, Redding, Iowa.
