Darrel D. Campbell May 3, 1943 – December 1, 2009

Darrel D. Campbell, 66, of Leavenworth, Kansas passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 1, 2009, in El Valle, Panama. Memorial services were Thursday, December 17, 2009, at Belden Larkin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Allendale, Missouri at a later date.

Darrel was born May 3, 1943 in Allendale, Missouri, the son of William and Fern (Monday) Campbell. He married Lora Barker January 30, 1966 in Mount Ayr, Iowa. He owned and operated Campbell Building Company, the Chuckwagon Smoke House and was also an international businessman in Mexico and Panama. He enjoyed traveling, cooking, fishing and meeting new people.

He is survived by his wife, Lora; two daughters, Carmen Joy Campbell of Lansing and Carrie Jane Campbell of Leavenworth; three grandchildren, James and Megan Byrnes and Grayson Hawkins; one brother, James L. Campbell and his wife, Janis, of Leavenworth, Kansas, and two sisters-in law, Donna Johnston of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Jeannie Campbell of Bella Vista, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gary Campbell.

Memorial in his name may be directed to the family.
