Zelma Mae Woollums May 12, 1911 – February 18, 2011

Zelma attended country schools and graduated in 1928 from Ellston high school. After high school she worked for a couple of years at the telephone office in Kellerton, Iowa. She also cooked at the Ringgold County Hospital.
On December 10, 1930, she married Clair Woollums and to this union three children were born, Marvin, Arvid and Cheryl (Cherri). They were married for 60 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved when her family was there. She was a wonderful cook. Her hobbies were sewing and crocheting. She loved getting her hair done and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clair; sons, Marvin and Arvid; daughter-in-law, Freida; son-in-law, Terry Hainline; sisters, Ella (Mark) Beede and Leena (Paul) Clark; brother, Lee (Dorothy) Roberts, and sister-in-law, June (John) Saville.
She is survived by her daughter, Cherri Hainline; grandchildren, David, Brian (Emily), Marla, Greg, Kelly (Cindy), Jodi and Kelli; two foster grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A memorial fund has been established in her name to be decided later.
Services were held at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr on Tuesday, February 22, 2011, with Rev. Joyce Smith officiating. Vocalist was Shyanne DeVore.
Casket bearers included Brian Woollums, Jeff DeVore, Kelly Woollums, Cody Woollums, Jim Clark and Merle Walters.
Zelma was laid at rest in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr.
