Patricia Ann (Pat) Johnson December 30, 1927 – April 30, 2011

Patricia Ann (Pat) Johnson, daughter of Margaret Irene Sampers and William Christian Schott, was born December 30, 1927 at Schaller, Iowa. Pat graduated from Schaller high school in 1945.
On November 13, 1947, she married Andy Johnson at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Schaller. They moved to Mount Ayr in 1960 when they purchased the local Chevrolet dealership. They lived in Mount Ayr with the exception of 10 years in Arizona. Pat sold shoes at Dryer Shoe Store in Mount Ayr and later owned Hackers Paint Store in Mount Ayr. Pat enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Mount Ayr Golf & Country Club and Sun Lakes, Arizona Golf & Country Club.
Pat passed away April 30, 2011 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andy; brother, Richard Schott; brother-in-law, Ervel Baker, and sisters-in-law, June Eno and Frances Schott.
Survivors include her children, Pam (Mac) Cross of Mount Ayr, Iowa, Mark (Maria) Johnson of Bentonville, Arkansas and Scott (Cindy) Johnson of Ankeny, Iowa; grandchildren, Jody (David) Greene, Niky (Scott) Taylor, Lory (James) Stewart, Trace Johnson, Taylor (Devon) Ferriel, Alexis Johnson, Summer (Billy) Jones, Danyale (John) Boardman, Amanda (Kasey) McCurdy and Alana (Adam) Jackson; great-grandchildren, Ashlie, Shelbie, Myles and Jaxson Greene, Brittlyn and Duke Taylor, Skylyr Stewart, Gabriel Ferriel, Quinn and Reece Boardman, Ty and Wynston Jones and Cavin McCurdy; brother, Lawrence Schott of Wisconsin; sister, Helen Baker of Cherokee, Iowa; brother-in-law, Wally Johnson of Florida, and sister-in-law, Phyllis Schott of Royal, Iowa.
A memorial fund has been established in her name to be decided later. Arrangements were entrusted to Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr.
Private graveside services were held at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr on May 6, 2011 with David Greene officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were Trace Johnson, David Greene, Scott Taylor, James Stewart, Devon Ferriel, Billy Jones, John Boardman, Kasey McCurdy and Adam Jackson.
Pat was laid at rest in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr.
