Attention: Residents of Ringgold County – “Support your local Sheriff.”
When the rats start winning the rat race of society, it’s time to move back to the Midwest. That’s how I discovered Mount Ayr. Reminds me of Mayberry, a safe, secure, quaint, small town, a place I wanted to hang my hat.
All small towns have their own cast of Mayberry characters such as; Otis, just ask Lefty, Ernest T. Bass, your town troublemaker, Aunt Bee, your child loving, caring church lady who can cook up a wonderful Sunday supper, and of course Opie’s aunt.
Then there is Landon White, whom reminds you of Sheriff Andy Taylor. Landon is level headed, honest, fair, yet a firm lawman. He knows the business inside and out. He’s great at working with troubled youths meandering their way through the adolescent minefield called life. Last but not least there is Barney Fife, your lovable deputy.
Landon is willing, able and well qualified to be your Sheriff, it’s in his blood. He began his career in the Marines, eventually protecting Air Force One with his bomb-sniffing dogs during the Reagan/Bush administration. If he’s good enough for the President, he’s good enough for Mount Ayr.
After the Marines, he came back to the Midwest and went to work for the Department of Corrections. Landon is very conscious of running a jail and a tight ship on a shoestring budget with our tax money.
Landon’s previous management experience was Chief of Police in Manly, Iowa. Call your fiends, family and relatives in Manly. ASK about Landon, you won’t be disappointed.
Good day and a better tomorrow when you vote Landon, Support your local Sheriff. I look forward to visiting with Landon during the ice cream social to be held at the American Legion on May 17 from 1 to 4.
Let’s make Mount Ayr Mayberry again!
