The reported number of positive COVID-19 cases in Ringgold County continues to climb.
According to the latest statistics from the Iowa Department of Public Health, Ringgold County has recorded 75 positive COVID-19 cases over the past 14 days.
Sixteen of those positive cases were reported in Clearview Home in Mount Ayr during that period.
In all, Ringgold County has recorded the second fewest positive cases since reporting began last March.
At 220 total positive cases, Ringgold County trails only Adams County with 171 positive results.
In comparison, totals from surrounding counties include 781 in Union, 488 in Clarke, 490 in Taylor, and 320 in Decatur.
The latest report shows a positivity rate in the county at 14.6 percent among all tests administered over those 14 days.
Daily counts of new cases in the county have dropped steadily from a high of 14 on November 14 to five or fewer over the past week.
