Betty Sharp

Betty Sharp, 90, of Mount Ayr, died Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr. A private family Celebration of Life Service and burial will be at a later date.  Memorials can be given to the family to be established at a later date. Betty Louise Sharp, daughter of Robert Bruce Addams and Minnie Belle (Kneel) Addams, was born on March 4, 1930 in Cape Girardeau, MO. She attended Cape Girardeau Community School.
On September 24, 1950, Betty was united in marriage to Jesse H. Sharp in Amarillo, TX. They settled in Amarillo, TX where she worked as a homemaker. In 1968 they moved to Sherman Oaks, CA.  She continued to work as a homemaker but also would pick up the occasional odd jobs decorating cakes or cleaning along the way. In 2005 Betty moved to Kellerton, IA.
Betty was the former president of the homeowners’ association in West Covina, CA and she also was a former member of the Garden Club of California.
Betty is survived by her six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jesse H. in 2017, three sisters, four brothers, a son, William Sharp, in 2001 and a daughter, Marjorie Atchison, in 1996.
