Mount Ayr Middle/High School principal Bill Huntington has been named one of three finalists for the position of shared superintendent for the East Union and Murray school districts.
In an April 16 post appearing on the Murray schools Facebook page, the districts announced their respective school boards had conducted electronic screening interviews with six candidates. The board asked each candidate nine questions to further identify their fit for the shared superintendent position.
Following the screening, Huntington was joined by fellow finalists Jeff Privia, currently the principal at Underwood Elementary School, and Tim Kuehl, currently the superintendent at Clear Creek-Amana.
Formal interviews are scheduled for Wednesday, April 21.
The boards will review feedback from those on the interview teams before deciding to which candidate they will offer a contract.
The new shared superintendent will begin his duties July 1.
