Bowlers take second at Clarke, first at home over Nodaway Valley

The Raider bowlers finished second at the Kenny Brammer Inviational in Osceola last week where they competed against Clarke and Lamoni.
The Clarke Indians finished first with a pin total of 2,973 and the Raiders finished second with 1,993.
Lamoni came in third with a 1,455 pin total.
In total pins, Brandon Lane finished fifth overall with a 289, whereas the Indians took places 1-4, and sixth before the Raiders took seventh through 11.
Cain Harmening finished the day with a total pin count of 275, Tony Daleske finished with 274, Dylan Swank with 249, Ethan Johns with a 233 and Jarred Larson with 171.
The Raiderettes also finished second on the day with 1,389 pins, while the Clarke Indians finished first with 2,351 and Lamoni took third with 661.
Mount Ayr’s Aubrey Reed took third overall with a 326, while Clarke finished first and second.
Reed did have the meets high game, bowling a 199, just slightly edging out Clarke’s Hannah Wisniewski who bowled a 195 high game.
Laurie Belzer ended the day with a 228, Andrea Sickels finished with a 224 and Alyssa Jay finished the day with a 179.
Vs Nodaway Valley
Mount Ayr hosted the Nodaway Valley Wolverines on Monday night with the Raiders defeating the Wovlerines 2,080 to 1,549.
The Raiderette bowlers also came out on top, defeating the Wolverines 1,221 to 737.
No individual scores were posted at press-time.
