The Raider wrestlers traveled across the border to face Albany, South Harrison and North Andrew last Thursday.
The Raiders lost to Albany and South Harrison while defeating North Andrew.
Against Albany, The Raiders saw Jaydon Knight take the win over Kyle Burke by fall in 1:53 at 170 pounds, while Keaton White at 182 defeated Caden Achterberg by fall in 26 seconds.
Braydon Swietlik defeated Sam Miller in a 4-3 decision and Brock Shaha defeated Remington Miller by fall in 1:22.
The Raiders won every match they wrestled, but lost the match 42-27 due to forfeits on open weights.
Against North Andrew, the Raiders saw Keaton White wrestle up at 195 pounds and get the win over Kal McFarland by fall in 20 seconds.
Brock Shaha defeated Mattox Sybert by fall in 1:19.
The Raiders won 30-18 as a team.
Against South Harrison, the Raiders fell 48-18.
At 113 pounds, Brock Shaha defeated Koan Kuehmichel by fall in 46 seconds.
Jaydon Knight at 170 pounds defeated Parker Chamberlin by fall in 1:21.
Keaton White wrestled at 182 pounds and received a win over Kasten VanMeter by fall in 1:35.
Mount Ayr’s Tucker Larson fell to Mayson Edwards by fall and Jarrett Eivins defeated Mount Ayr’s Braydon Swietlik by fall.
North Mahaska
The Raiders wrestled at the North Mahaska Invitational on Saturday, January 8.
At 106 pounds, Brock Shaha lost to Grinnell’s Dylan Heater by a 15-3 major decision, before Shaha took third overall after defeating North Mahaska’s Joel De Jong by fall.
Jaydon Knight defeated Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont’s Blake Jager in the semifinals by a 9-2 decision.
Keaton White defated Juan Martinizen of Iowa City by fall before heading to the semifinals to defeat Ryan Doud of Pekin by fall.
Tucker Larson fell to Pella’s Simon Peterman by fall and in the consolation round fell to Ashton Meland of North Mahaska by fall.
Braydon Swietlik defeated Jeremeiah Lowe of Iowa City.
