The town of Tingley will host its annual community celebration – the Homemade Ice Cream Social – August 28.
As part of the celebration, the third annual Show and Shine car show will line up along Main Street near Memorial Park from 1-6 p.m.
The show will feature cars, antique cars, tractors, motorcycles, pick-ups, semi cabs and more. All vehicles are welcome.
Roger Burger will provide music for the car show from 1-3 p.m.
The Briggs Family Band will entertain with blue grass music from 3:30-6:30 p.m.
Kids’ activities including face painting from 3:30-4:30 p.m. and again from 5:15-6 p.m., a presentation by Ranger Kate Zimmerman with Ringgold Conservation at 4:30 p.m., a nickel rush at 6:30 p.m., fire truck rides from 3:30-6:00 p.m. and a kids raffle at 6:45 p.m.
The Ringgold County Cattlemen will serve hamburgers and a drink beginning at 4:30 p.m. A free will offering will be accepted.
Public serving from the Hoover Angus Homemade Ice Cream contest and the Jenny Tull pie contest will begin at 5:00 p.m. Each contest winner will be awarded $500.
