The Raiders traveled to Afton to compete on the mat in a quad with East Union, Nodaway Valley and Wayne.
East Union
The Raiders fell to East Union 39-12 in the team scores, with the Raiders only taking two wins on the day, while forfeiting four matches to unfilled weights.
Bracken Collier wrestled at 170 pounds against Kason Parker, falling in 2:26.
At 182 pounds, Allen Jennings fell to Terrian Islas.
Brock Shaha, at 106 pounds, defeated Ty Tallmon by fall in 1:05.
Nathan Mederos fell to DJ Islas in 45 seconds while Tegan Hill lost in an 11-6 decision to Noah Driskill.
Nodaway Valley
Against Nodaway Valley, the Raiders fell 66-12, with seven forfeits included.
At 170 pounds, Bracken Collier fell in 47 seconds to Kaden Herr.
Allen Jennings fell to Aiden Goetz in 1:01.
Brock Shaha defeated Kevin Steeve by fall in 1:28, wrestling up at 113.
Nathan Mederos fell to Eli Harris in 49 seconds at 120 pounds.
Conlee Stark fell in 2:38 to Bradley Gebbie at 132.
Tegan Hill earned a win, defeating Kasen Hansen by fall in 1:20.
Wayne
Against Wayne, the Raiders lost 42-18 with five forfeits against the Raiders and Collier taken a win by forfeit at 170 pounds and Shaha taking a win by forfeit at 106.
Allen Jennings fell in 24 seconds to Colby Holbrook in 24 seconds.
Nathan Mederos fell in 50 seconds to Trapper Rhoades at 120 pounds.
Conlee Stark battled for 3:39 before falling to Austin Henderson.
Tegan Hill defeated Layten Anderson by fall in 1:14.
Pride of Iowa
At the Pride of Iowa tournament at Southeast Warren, the Raiders saw one champion on the day, one fifth place finish and one sixth place finish.
The champion for Mount Ayr was Brock Shaha at 106 pounds.
Shaha received a bye to start the day before defeating Martensdale-St. Marys Levi Webb by fall in 1:19.
Shaha defeating East Union’s Ty Tallmon in 1:53 by fall in round three.
At 120 pounds, Nathan Mederos fell by fall in the quarterfinals to Elijah Wheeldon of Martensdale in 1:59 before falling to Southeast Warren’s Kael Caikoski by fall in 46 seconds.
Conlee Stark took a win at 132 pounds, over Cooper Anderson of Wayne in 25 seconds before falling to Dylan Stein of Lenox by fall in 4:49.
Stark went on to defeat Ben Brenizer of Martensdale by a 12-8 decision before falling to Bedford’s Caden Mann in 51 seconds.
Stark took sixth overall after a 9-4 decision went the way of Southeast Warren’s Colton Halterman.
At 145 pounds, Tegan Hill started his day off with a win over Layten Anderson of Wayne by fall in 2:26.
Hill would then fall to Martensdale’s Conor Cassady by fall in 42 seconds.
In the second round of consolation, Hill fell in 3:48 to Erik Allen of East Union.
Bracken Collier fell in the 170 pound quarterfinals in 1:24 to Kason Parker of East Union.
In the Consolation semifinals, Collier fell to Trey Fisher of Southeast Warren in 25 seconds before ending his day in fifth place, defeating Kaden Herr of Nodaway Valley by a 4-2 decision.
At 182 pounds, Allen Jennings fell to Tate Haffner of Southwest Valley in 1:11 and Wayn’es Colby Holbrook in 48 seconds.
