A prayer for us all

To the editor:
Living in a small town is hard. Living in a small town when everyone knows you can be harder; especially as a young adult.
Any type of news whether tragic, joyful, or even false travels at light speed. We dissect people’s lives like bacteria under a microscope and diagnose their problems with zero sources; like a doctor with no medical license, no compassion.
Why is that?
Why do we comment on people’s lives when we cannot see behind their closed doors? Sure, a lot of people have good intentions and concerns, but do we as a collective, need to speculate and spread even more falsities?
No, we don’t.
The answer is simple: if you don’t know, don’t speak. If you’re worried, pray and leave it to our Heavenly Father to do at His will. I’ll leave with this:
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies. Test all things; hold fast what is good.”
