Obituary – PHIL JARVIS

Phil Jarvis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away Sunday, July 6th, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 27, 1949, in Marysville, Missouri.
Phil grew up in Mt. Ayr, Iowa surrounded by the warmth of his family, mother LaVonne and dad Howard, his brother, Dave, and his two sisters, Kay and Mary.
His childhood was filled with the joy of sports, particularly football and golf, which he played alongside his lifelong friends from Mt. Ayr. Those friendships, forged on the fields and fairways, remained a cornerstone of his life.
After graduating high school, Phil pursued higher education at the University of Northern Colorado, where he met the love of his life, Jean Jarvis. Together, they built a beautiful family, blessed with two children: Jamie (married to Shannon) and Katie (married to Brian with sons Collin and Kale).
Phil’s devotion to his family was unwavering, and his love for them shone through in every moment they shared.
Phil’s professional career spanned over 30 years as a pharmaceutical sales representative for The Upjohn Company, later acquired by Pfizer. His charisma, dedication, and natural talent as a salesman earned him national recognition from Upjohn. Though he had opportunities to climb the corporate ladder, Phil chose to stay in Montana, the place he believed was perfect for raising his family.
Phil’s ability to connect with people was extraordinary. Over the years, he cultivated friendships that grew into an extended family, a testament to his warmth and generous spirit. To all those who stood by Phil during his courageous 2+ year battle with cancer, his family extends their deepest thanks for your love and support. Your presence in his life meant the world to him.
In his later years, Phil’s grandsons, Collin and Kale, became his greatest joy and purpose. Of all the accolades and achievements in his remarkable life, the title he cherished most was “Grampy.” Being a grandfather brought him unparalleled pride and happiness, and those moments with his grandsons were the highlight of his retirement.
Phil Jarvis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and connection. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
