Ivy Bice is the 12th grade daughter of Chris Bice and Andy and Jennifer Kellner. She is positive, dependable, and respectful, all qualities that make her a natural leader. You will always see Ivy putting the most into everything she does in academics and athletics. Ivy is actively involved in drill team, basketball cheerleading, football cheerleading, and competition dance. She has previously participated in band, track, and competition cheerleading. Ivy is very dedicated to her academics, having received multiple awards of academic achievement. in English and math. Her good grades also earned her a “certificate of excellence” during her sophomore year at the Iowa State Dance Championships. Ivy has earned multiple awards of honor, those being for drill team, basketball cheer, and track. Ivy is a dedicated leader both in and out of school. She currently serves as captain of the basketball cheerleading team. Beyond her school commitments, she works as head housekeeper at the Mount Ayr Inn, and teaches at Ryan’s Dance Academy. One of Ivy’s teachers said: “Ivy consistently displays good character in the way she treats both her peers and staff members at school. She shows kindness, respect, and integrity in her interactions, creating positive relationships built on trust and understanding.”
I am honored to have grown up with Ivy as my friend, and I have seen her grow and bloom into the amazing person that she is today. She is the kind of person who shows up when you need her most, no matter how busy she is. She is truly deserving of this honor, and I know she will continue to achieve great things. It is my honor to congratulate Ivy Bice on her induction into the National Honor Society.
Adley Dredge
By Kacie Larsen
Adley Dredge is the 11th-grade daughter of Allison and Clint Dredge. Adley is a dedicated student maintaining a 3.7 GPA in HS. She has been awarded 2+ years of growth on the ELA ISASP test and 1-2 years of growth on the Math ISASP test for two consecutive years. In addition to being intelligent, Adley is a kind and hard-working student and I know firsthand that she is a genuine and honest person. One of her teachers said, “ Adley consistently demonstrates outstanding character through her kindness, integrity, and strong sense of responsibility. She treats others with respect and compassion, often going out of her way to include and encourage her peers. Adley approaches challenges with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, showing maturity beyond her years. Her honesty, reliability, and genuine care for others make her a role model among her classmates and a student who positively impacts the school community every day.” Adley is involved in track and field and volleyball, earning a varsity letter in both and being awarded Most Valuable Player for JV Volleyball. She was also in FFA for her freshman year and earned her Greenhand Degree. Outside of school, Adley has logged almost 40 hours of community service for the school, community members, and her church. This shows her genuine care for others and willingness to help. I have personally benefited from her positivity and kindness, and I am thankful for her as a friend. At this time, I would like to congratulate Adley on her induction into the National Honor Society.
Izzy Gilbertson
by Mackenzie Knox
Izzy Gilbertson is the 11th-grade daughter of Jeff and Nicky Gilbertson. Throughout high school, I have had the opportunity to get to know Izzy and watch her personality grow. Izzy volunteers in many activities in school and in our community. By volunteering at little kids’ sports tournaments and helping at the hospital’s kids’ triathlon, Izzy has been a helping hand to others. She has been involved in basketball, volleyball, and golf in high school. Some of her achievements are basketball POI conference freshman and sophomore of the year, Academic All-Conference her sophomore year in all three sports, and all-Iowa KMA-Land third team. While excelling as an athlete, she has maintained a 3.94 GPA. Izzy’s teachers talk very highly of her. A quote from one of them states: “Izzy is an outstanding student who consistently demonstrates integrity and perseverance. She is self-motivated, chooses the hard right over the easy wrong, and approaches challenges with determination and maturity. Her strong moral character, work ethic, and commitment to excellence make her a role model for her peers, and a student any teacher or coach would love to have in class and on her team.” Izzy has made a positive impression on our school and on me- there is never a dull moment when you are around Izzy. She leads by example, and if there is anything that I have learned from Izzy, it is to be yourself. I look forward to seeing Izzy every day, knowing that she will stop to chat and or give me one of her big hugs. I am very honored to know Izzy and to be the first to welcome her into our National Honor Society chapter. Congratulations, Izzy.

Kelbey is very active in the school and has been involved in numerous activities such as football and competition cheer, Competitive dance team, Sparks drill team, HELP Youth pod, drama, student council, Leader In Me Action Teams, Dekko Granting Committee, and Ringgold Rancher 4-H Club. Through being involved in these activities, she has achieved many awards. These include, All-Iowa Dance Team, and has been placed top 20 two years in a row at the State Dance Solos Competition. Even with being involved in so many activities inside and out of the school, Kelbey has exceeded and maintained a 4.00 GPA and is first in her class. Her outstanding academic standing has helped her to achieve countless ELA and math ISASP awards, such as 2+ year Growth on the ELA and math assessments, and the highest score in her sophomore year in ELA, math, and science assessments. One of Kelbey’s teachers speaks highly of her by stating, “Kelbey has always shown a high level of character when it comes to the work she completes and how she works with other students in class. She helps those around her when they need it and works on her own work above expectations.” Knowing Kelbey, I do not doubt her teacher’s opinion one bit. She is determined and disciplined, but always finds time to squeeze fun into whatever she is doing. To know Kelbey is to love her. Her kind heart and vibrant personality is truly something I look forward to seeing every morning at practice or during school. It is my privilege to be the first to congratulate Kelbey on her induction into our National Honor Society chapter! Congratulations, Kelbey!
