Memorial Day Services Memorial Day is a day to recognize and honor all of those who have served our country and American Legion posts in Ringgold County will be at area cemetery’s and other locations throughout the day. Below are the schedules.
The American Legion Post 172 in Mount Ayr will be having Memorial Day services at the following times and locations:
9 a.m. – Services at Benton Cemetery
10 a.m. – Services at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr
11 a.m. – Ceremony at American Legion building in Mount Ayr followed by luncheon
The American Legion Morris Herrold Post of Diagonal will be conducting honor ceremonies at the cemeteries around Diagonal.
The United Church of Diagonal will provide a free will luncheon following the services at the Community Building.
8:30 a.m.- Union
9:00 a.m. – Bethel
9:30 a.m. – Marshaltown
10:00 a.m. – Bohemian
10:30 a.m. – Diagonal
11:00 a.m. – Knowlton
