PHILA NAOMA VARDAMAN

PHILA NAOMA VARDAMAN, DAUGHTER OF B.W. AND LAVINA RANDALL VARDAMAN, WAS BORN IN BEDFORD, TAYLOR COUNTY, IOWA, OCTOBER 30, 1859 AND DIED IN TINGLEY, MAY 17, 1943, AT THE AGE  OF 83 YEARS, FIVE MONTHS AND 17 DAYS.

IN 1867 THE FAMILY MOVED TO MOUNT AYR WHERE HER FATHER PRECEDED HER IN DEATH ON APRIL 18, 1909, HER MOTHER ON AUGUST 9, 1911, AND A BROTHER, WHOSE DEATH OCCURRED IN COLORADO IN 1934.

IN 1884 SHE WAS CONVERTED AND JOINED MOUNT AYR METHODIST CHURCH.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY THREE COUSINS, AVERY VARDAMAN  AND EMMETT VARDAMAN, WHO RESIDE NEAR BRADDYVILLE, AND BEN OF DES MOINES.

FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT 2:30 O’CLOCK FROM THE RHOADES FUNERAL HOME, CONDUCTED BY THE REV. FRANK MOORE, PASTOR OF THE METHODIST CHURCH. INTERMENT WAS IN ROSE HILL CEMETERY.
