Raymond A. Hickerson
Raymond A. Hickerson was born December 2, 1898, in Harrison County Missouri, and departed this life December 30, in Plainview, TX hospital after an illness of several months duration.
Mr. Hickerson, a son of the late J. L. Hickerson and Virgie Hickerson Jackson, was reared in Mount Ayr.
On September 3, 1919, he was united in marriage with Ida Spencer in Mount Ayr. In 1948 the family moved to Plainview, where he owned and operated the Hickerson Record Shop until his retirement in 1964.
He was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church.
Those who survive are his widow, Ida, 1606 W 11th Plainview; five brothers, J. Mel Hickerson, Scarsdale, NY; E. Wayne Hickerson, Medford, OR; Ainslee E. Hickerson, Oklahoma City, OK; Dr. Luther Hickerson, Brooklyn and Loren Hickerson, Iowa City; a sister Mrs. Amos Lee, Mount Ayr; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held January 2 from the Grace Presbyterian Church with the pastor, The Rev. Fred G. Klerekoper, officiating. Burial was in the Parklawn Memorial Cemetery.
