Matthew E. Becker Warden January 8, 1984 – March 11, 2010

  Matthew E. Becker Warden, age 26, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 2:32 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, while in his sleep. Matthew  was born January 8, 1984 in Saint Louis.

He is survived by his parents, Edward Warden and Sandra Becker-Warden of Edwardsville, Illinois; his brother, Ryan Warden of Edwardsville, Illinois; maternal grandparents, Edward and JoAnn Becker of Fort Dodge, Iowa, and paternal grandmother, Eleonore Euritt of Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Matthew was a free spirit whose passions were his love of music, art, swimming and boating. Matt was especially caring to those less fortunate and to animals. His most enjoyable times were spent with his family at their Lake of the Ozarks residence, at Hutchinson Island in Florida and in Iowa with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was a member of Saint John’s United Methodist Church in Edwardsville. There is no visitation. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at Saint John’s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sheryl Palmer officiating.
