Charles Billie Fifer January 16, 1958-April 4, 2010

Charles Billie Fifer, son of Rosa (Robison) Fifer and Charles W. Fifer, was born January 16, 1958 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, Iowa.

In the 1970’s Billie married and had two children, later being divorced. He shared his life for many years with Becky Hunt, helping to raise daughter Tiffany as his own. Billie was baptized into Christ in 1999. He attended Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church when he was home. Billie worked in Texas and other states doing construction work. He was also experienced in house moving and even sold insurance for a few years. Billie enjoyed flea markets, going to the beach and traveling. Sharing holiday meals with his family was important. Billie had been working in Texas and got home late Saturday, April 3, to share Easter with his family. Billie passed away in his bed and was found by his father at 7 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010.

Survivors include his parents, Bill and Rosa Fifer of Kellerton, Iowa; children, Tiffany Hunt of Mount Ayr, Iowa and Billie and Kristina; several grandchildren; brother, Roy Fifer of Kellerton, Iowa; sister, Kathy (Randy) Johnston of Kellerton, Iowa; nephew, Mark (Tina) Comer; nieces, Kim (Jim) Monroe and Mariah Fifer; great-nieces and nephews, Dylan and Joel Monroe, Harlee Comer and Jeff Brown; aunt, Loretta Reynolds of Kellerton, Iowa; uncle, Paul (Judy) Fifer, and many close friends.

Services were conducted at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr on  Wednesday, April 7, 2010, with Rev. Edward Shields officiating. Musicians included Sharon Skroh, Andy Trullinger, Mary Davenport and Margaret Bickers.

Casket bearers were Roy Fifer, Mark Comer, Randy Johnston, Jim Monroe, Duane Blades and Merle Comer.

Honorary pallbearers included Jeff Brown, Duane Burchett, Charlie Supinger and Jamie Sublett.

Billie was laid at rest in the Maple Row Cemetery, Kellerton.
