William H. “Bill” Gross September 25, 1946 – May 15, 2011

    Funeral services for William H. ‘Bill’ Gross III, 64, Lawton, were Wednesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Cramer, retired United Methodist minister, officiating.
    Mr. Gross died Sunday in a local hospital.
    Burial was in Highland Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
    He was born September 25,1946 in Lawton to William H. Jr. and Jo Anne (Kalbfleisch) Gross. He was employed as an accountant for his father’s business for many years.  Bill worked for Mim’s Bearing Company and as a carpet layer for several years. He married Gloria Bowlin in 1965 in Wichita Falls.  He later married Glenda Golliday on November 12, 1982 in Lawton.
    Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Denise and her husband, Jeff, Burk and Shelley Prosser, all of Lawton; five grandchildren, Jeremy Gross Burk, Shelby Gross Burk, Taylor Gross Prosser, Austin Gross Prosser and Sydney Gross Prosser; a brother, Larry Gross of Norman; a sister-in-law, Joyce Belville and her husband, Ray, of Chickasha; a brother-in-law, Kirk Golliday and his wife, Denise, of Mount Ayr, Iowa; a father-in-law, Tom Golliday of Mount Ayr, Iowa; a son-in-law, Scott Prosser of Lawton, and four nieces, Amber Golliday, Natalie Ingram, Angie Strawderman and Andrea Terrell.
    His parents; mother-in-law, Esther Golliday; a brother-in-law, Hal Butler, and an uncle, David Kalbfleisch, preceded him in death.
