Ervin Wayne Kelley April 22, 1926 – May 21, 2011

  Ervin Wayne Kelley, son of Everet and Margaretta (Adair) Kelley, was born April 22, 1926 in Leon, Iowa. Wayne went through the eighth grade in Leon. He married Mary Corl in Leon. To this union was born one son, Rodnie. They moved to a farm northeast of Kellerton, Iowa where Wayne farmed as many as 800 acres in addition to raising cattle, hogs, soy beans and corn. His wife, Mary, was at one time the second largest dog broker in Iowa.

Wayne passed away at his home on May 21, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary, in 2002; three brothers, Harold, Robert and Doyle Kelley, and one sister, Dorothy.

Survivors include his son, Rodnie and wife Gloria Kelley of Kellerton, Iowa; two granddaughters, Lydia Pollock and husband Scott and Loni Minnick and husband Todd, all of Mount Ayr, Iowa; four great-grandchildren, Ethan Pollock, Ty Pollock, Logan Kelley and Taran Minnick; two sisters, Leola Milburn and Lorita of Washington, and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Kelley was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr. Burial will take place at a later date in Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton. A memorial fund has been established in his name to be decided later.
