Robert “Bob” Stutt May 3, 1924 – August 18, 2011

Robert ‘Bob’ Stutt, 87, of rural Creston, Iowa, died Thursday, August 18, 2011, at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston. Graveside services were held Tuesday, August 23, at Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Spaulding, Iowa. Phil Price, Orient Plymouth Congregational Church, officiated. Pearson-Coen-Beaty Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery Street, Creston was in charge of the arrangements. Robert ‘Bob’ Norman Stutt, the son of Alfred August and Mabel Belva (Filmer) Stutt, was born on May 3, 1924 in rural Adair county near Creston, Iowa. Bob lived in Adair county, Iowa all of his life, attended Orient Consolidated School and graduated with the class of 1942. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1943 and served during World War II.
On September 16, 1956, Bob married Irene Marie Driskell at Creston, Iowa. He was a devoted farmer all his life in the Adair county area.
Bob was a lifetime member of the Orient Plymouth Congregational Church and was a member of the Lions club. He had a passion for wildlife and in 2006 he was awarded the Conservation Lifetime Achievement Award.
Left to mourn Bob’s passing are his sisters, Marilyn (husband Wesley) Geidel of Creston, Iowa and Helen Stutt of Des Moines, Iowa; his nephews, Douglas (wife Becky) Geidel of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Greg Geidel of Sarasota, Florida, and his great-nephews, Justin Geidel and fianc??e Raelynne Howell, Brady Geidel and special friend Bo Conard and Galen (wife Katie) Geidel.
Preceding Bob in death were his parents and his wife, Irene, in 2003.
