Carolyn Jean Reno October 31, 1934 – September 9, 2011

Carolyn Jean Reno was born to Iva Justine Main/Minnick and Lelan ‘Lee’ Francis Minnick on October 31, 1934 and moved on from this life on September 9, 2011.

Jeanie raised her children in California and will be remembered for her management and health care abilities on the job and off during those years. The last several years she lived in Mount Ayr, Iowa. She spent her life sharing with others at every opportunity and will be remembered for the genuine caring and support she was in their lives. More often than not others’ successes and tougher times were more important to her than her own.

The special joys in Jeanie’s life were her children and visits with them and other family and friends.  Pets, gardening and nature were always important parts of her being and many happy conversations and activities were centered on them. She was quiet, peaceful and always had a smile and a hug for those who knew her best.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Iva Minnick; three brothers, Victor Minnick, Jim Minnick and Jack Minnick, and two sisters, Phyllis Mercer and Ailene Mercer.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sandra Myrick; her son and wife, Stephen and Libby Myrick; brothers and wives, Alan and Bonnie Minnick, Dan and Mindy Minnick, Merritt and Lori Minnick; sister, Geneva Scott, and many nieces and nephews, friends and relatives.

Carolyn was cremated and no services are planned at this time. Arrangements were by Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
