Louise Knapp Addison March 30, 1923 – January 3, 2012

Louise Knapp Addison was born March 30, 1923 in Lowellville, Ohio to Frank and Kathryn (Hogan) Knapp. She was the 10th of 13 children in the family.
Louise was united in marriage to Elmer Addison on April 29, 1947 in Cleveland, Ohio. Elmer and Louise had two daughters, Lynn was born in 1949 and Debbie was born in 1952.
When Elmer retired in 1992, the couple moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to enjoy the sun.
Elmer and Louise were married for more than 50 years until Elmer passed away on January 23, 2003.
In June of 2010, Louise moved to Bedford, Iowa to live with her daughter, Debbie.
Louise lived a very long and full life. She enjoyed cooking for her family, traveling, playing Yahtzee, solving crossword puzzles, the companionship of her beloved cat, Kitty-Kitty and especially volunteering her time in the ministry as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Louise passed away on January 3, 2012 at the Clarinda Regional Health Center in Clarinda, Iowa.
Louise will be missed by many and remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, kind heart and feisty, fun spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; husband, Elmer, and daughter, Lynn.
Louise is survived by daughter Debbie Maddolin of Bedford, Iowa; grandchildren Matt Helfrich of Seattle, Washington, Capt. Jeremy Helfrich and wife Jody of Meridian, Mississippi, Nathan Helfrich of Bozeman, Montana, Cori Floyd and husband Isaac of Bedford, Iowa and Jennifer Adkisson and husband Grant of Bedford, Iowa; great-grandchildren, Chloey, Megan and Breeanna Helfrich, and her beloved cat, Kitty-Kitty.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Bedford. The family has requested that any donations be made to the Kingdom Hall.
