SHIRLEY LEE HUFF

    Shirley Lee Huff, daughter of Carrol Herbert Munyon and Allie Belle (Fenton) Munyon was born October 28, 1932 in Ellston, Iowa and passed from this life Monday, May 4, 2015 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at 82 years of age.
    Shirley grew up in Ellston and graduated from Ellston High School in 1953. She furthered her education by attending nursing school and achieving her LPN. Shirley worked many years as a nurse. She loved to listen to gospel and country music, watch Lawrence Welk reruns, and cooking. You could always find her reading her Bible; doing crafts and playing Bingo.
    Those relatives who preceded Shirley in death were her parents; brother, Murray Munyon; sister, Phyllis Page; brother-in-law, Larry Page; grandson, Dennis Haak.
    Shirley leaves to cherish her memory; daughter, Denise “Kim” (Allen) Haak of Lynden, WA, son, Barry (Jaci) Huff of Marshalltown, IA, sister, Peggy Munyon of Littleton, CO, sister-in-law, Joyce Munyon of Mustang, OK, grandchildren, Dwight (Hillary) Haak of Palmer, AK, Keenan (Heidy) Haak of Lynden, WA, Lori (Mark) of Puyallup, WA, Kevin (Mandi) of Puyallup, WA; great-grandchildren, Mallory Haak of Palmer, AK, Caleb of Puyallup, WA, Hailey of Puyallup, WA as well as other relatives and many friends.
    Services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 8, 2015 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, IA with Jeff Turpin officiating. The family greeted friends one hour prior to her service at Kale Funeral Home. Interment is in the Ellston Cemetery.
