ARLENE HANSELL

    Arlene Hansell, 90, of Mount Ayr passed away at the Mount Ayr Healthcare Center on Friday, May 22, 2015.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in the Diagonal Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left at www.watsonarmstrongfh.com.  
    Arlene Shrimpton was born January 28, 1925 to John Orville Shrimpton and Ida Thelma (Britt) Shrimpton in Villisca, Iowa.  Arlene attended Diagonal High School.  
    In 1942 Arlene was united in marriage to Floyd Ivan Hansell.  To this union two children were born, Marion and Judy.
    Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ida; husband, Floyd.  She is survived by her children, Marion (Mary Jo) Hansell of Des Moines and Judy Hansell of Creston; grandson, Todd Hansell of Des Moines; granddaughter, Amanda (Brian) Downs of Urbandale; great-grandson, Hayden Downs of Urbandale.
