ANNABELLE SLUSHER
Annabelle Slusher 91 passed away June 17, 2015 in Harris, Iowa.
She was born June 16, 1924 In Kellerton, Iowa to Gladys and Rollo Virden.
Annabelle was a former Salida resident. While here she was active in the Heart of the Rockies Medical Center Women’s Auxiliary. She loved playing dominoes with her friends when they would meet at the Shavano Manor Club House.
She loved traveling and adventure. She spent many months each winter in South Texas with her husband. After he died she continued to drive their 5th Wheel down to Texas (all by herself). She was very spunky!
She was an avid reader and could finish a book faster than anyone we knew. She loved to cook and can for her friends and family and always enjoyed trying a new recipe. Annabelle loved a good joke and her infectious laughter will be remembered by all.
Mrs. Slusher was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister. Her husband Garland Martin died in 1982 and her second husband, Ed Slusher passed away in 1994.

Annie (as all her friends called her) didn’t want a funeral. So in keeping with those wishes there will be a private family celebration of life.
