LOUISE ANN (BURCHETT) SACKETT

    Louise Ann (Burchett) Sackett was born December 31, 1942 in Leon, Iowa to William Allen Burchett and Inez Mary (Jones). She grew up in Ringgold County and graduated from Mount Ayr high school in 1961.
    On September 23, 1961 Louise was united in marriage to Larry Joe Sackett in the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. To this union two children were born, Randy Joe and Laurie Suzanne. Louise and Larry made their home in Des Moines. Louise worked for Wells Fargo Bank in the trust department for over forty years in Des Moines. After they retired they moved to Ellston where they currently reside.
    Louise passed away at the Ringgold County Hospital on July 17, 2015 at the age of 72. Preceding here in death are her parents; daughter, Laurie Suzanne Sackett; two sisters, one in infancy and Vera Jean Mercer. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Larry Sackett of Ellston; son, Randy J. (wife Jill) Sackett of Winterset; two brothers, Bill “Butch” (wife Renee) Burchett of Ankeny and Duane (wife Margie) Burchett of Lamoni; two sisters, Viva Dean Buell and Joyce Marie Tucker both of Des Moines; dog, Murphy Sackett at home.
    Services were held at the Watson-Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 with Pastor Bill Armstrong officiating. Music was provided by Carol Ann McCreary, Grace Warin, Barbie Belzer and Nancy Sackett. Casketbearers were Woodrow Bell, James Welford, Ron Hulsebus, Nicholas Welford, Gerry Young and James Welford, Jr. Burial is in the Glendale Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
