JUDGE LARRY ALLEN WYER
Judge Larry Allen Wyer, 75, of Lumberton passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015. He was born June 8, 1940 in Denver, MO.
He graduated high school in Mount Ayr, Iowa in 1958. He then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1963. He earned his associates degree in law enforcement. Larry had a wide range of jobs during his career, from farmer to councilor to Colorado State Patrolman. He served as sheriff and chief of police in multiple areas in Iowa. He then went to work at his favorite job all, Municipal Court Judge of Lumberton since 2002. He served on numerous community projects, church functions and charity events. He was very active and involved with the United Methodist Youth. He loved animals and he loved people. He had an award winning smile an a great sense of humor. The love of his life was his wife Brenda.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ester Wyer; sisters, Joyce Wyer and Donna West.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Brenda Wyer; daughters, Lavonna Reigenborn of Colorado and Alicia Ostrander of Colorado; brothers, Marvin Wyer and Richard Wyer; sisters, Lois Hill and Linda Mathews; grandson, Erich Rivera; granddaughter, Jessica Ostrander and numerous nieces and nephews.
