LESLIE R. MAUDLIN
Leslie R. Maudlin age 61 of Dexter, formerly of Clearfield and Creston passed away October 29, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines due to complications of a stroke.
Leslie was born in San Luis Obispo, California to Elvis “Bud” Maudlin and Merliene (Moore) Maudlin on December 4, 1953. After high school he enlisted in the Army from 1974-1980, where he was stationed in Germany for most of his tour. Upon returning to the states he settled in Creston and later near Clearfield and worked as a technician at Wellman’s Dynamics and GITs for many years.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elsie (Scott) and Leonard Maudlin of Clearfield; Francis (Gabriel) and William Moore of Central City, NE and his father Elvis “Bud” Maudlin of Kellerton.
He is survived by his mother, Merliene Maudlin of Dexter, sisters Wanda (Lyle) Sanders of Dexter and Christine (James) Spurgin of Osceola; 7 nephews, 4 nieces, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Saturday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. at the Meeting Place Banquet Hall 1003 N. Main Street, Osceola, IA 50213.
