Elaine Yvonne (Hammers) Page McCampbell was born April 30, 1939 to Eddie and Eva (Severn) Hammers in Waubonsie Hills between Glenwood, Iowa and Tabor, Iowa. She attended the Walnut Grove Country School through the eighth grade and then high school in Tabor, Iowa. 
Elaine married Curtis Evert Page, Sr. in Silver City, Iowa. To this union four children were born while living in Malvern, Iowa and Glenwood, Iowa. Elaine was baptized at the Trinity Lutheran Church near Decatur, Iowa. In 1976, she moved to Mount Ayr, Iowa and in 1980 she met the love of her life, Corwin Karr, Jr. Together they enjoyed going to flea markets to find bargains and new friends. 
Elaine’s pride and joy were her kids and grand kids and great-grand kids. One of her hobbies was crocheting, where she spent several hours creating blankets for her family and close friends. 
Elaine passed away March 12, 2017 at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; past husband, Curtis Page, Sr.; brother-in-law Charles Page; great-grandchild Payton Page; step-daughter Donna Karr. Those left to cherish her memory are her significant other, Corwin Karr, Jr.; her children, John (Joy) Page of Nevada, Curtis (Sharon) Page, Jr. of Winston, N.D., Patti (Jerry) Jones of Creston, Charles Page of Emporia, Kansas; raised one granddaughter, Karen Valdez Gonzalez; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two brothers LeRoy “Buck” Hammers and Richard (Emajo) Hammers; and sister, Viola. 
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
