Greene, Schafer medal for Raider, Raiderette golf

The Raiders traveled to Afton Tuesday night for a meet with East Union, Southeast Warren, Martensdale St. Mary’s and Wayne.
Wayne took first in team scoring with a 183 followed by East Union with a 186, Mount Ayr third with a 191, fourth to Martensdale St. Mary’s with a 192 and fifth to Southeast Warren with a 221.
Myles Greene took medalist honors with a 38 and runner up was Lucas Hemphill from Wayne with a 39.
Other scores for the Raiders were, Russell Holmes with a 53, Lucas Wurster with a 58, Chase Henry with a 54, Dalton Elwood with a 46 and Cayden Lambert with a 54.
The Raiders moved to 8-3 on the season.
The Raiderettes hosted Wayne, Martensdale St. Mary’s and East Union in Mount Ayr at the Golf & Country Club. The Raiderettes won with a meet score of 206. East Union came second with a 248, Wayne third with a 289 and Martensdale St. Mary’s only had three golfers so a team score could not be posted.
Abbey Schafer and Tessa Shields tied for medalist with scores of 44. Schafer won the card off and was declared the medalist and Shields was runner-up.
Other scores for the Raiderettes were, Hallie Still with a 59, Abbi Haley with a 60, Kylee Smith with a 59 and Kaitlyn Dolecheck with a 66.
For the Raiderette junior varsity Haylee Whittington with a 76, Alexis Main with a 65 and Hanna Ackley with a 77.
The Raiderettes remain undefeated at 10-0 this season.
