BETTY LOUISE STUART

BETTY LOUISE STUART
Betty Louise (Harris) Stuart was born August 24, 1926 on a farm north of Kellerton to Herbert James Harris and Mary Beatrice (George) Harris. She attended country school and later school in Beaconsfield. Betty rode a pony and sometimes needed a scoop shovel to ride to school because of the snow. Betty worked on the farm and would help her brother with traps, sometimes putting the catch in her pockets.
On July 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Earl “Scrawny” Stuart. To this union were four daughters, Linda, Donna, Diana and Marilyn.
In her early years, she worked at the Shamrock Truck Stop and Clearview Home both in Mount Ayr. She then spent twenty-five years working at O’Bryan Brothers in Leon. Betty was a very hard working and dedicated mother. She loved her family, friends, dogs and cats. She enjoyed dancing, listening to Elvis and country music, going to garage sales, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
