BETTY ADAMS

Betty entered into this world October 27, 1935 in Little Rock Arkansas. She later moved to Rockford, IL where she met and married Robert E. Adams on August 10, 1951; a marriage that would span just shy of 65 years.
Over the years they lived in various places including, TX, MO, IL and IA. But she found home in November of 1977 when on a family trip to MO, Bob pulled into a drive with a huge pine tree next to the house outside of Kellerton, IA. She asked who’s house is this and he said yours if you want it. “The Farm” was to become home for the next 40 years. Betty helped with the farm, went trucking with Bob and worked as a home health aide, a cook at the Kellerton School and a Nurse’s Aide at Mount Ayr Care Center until her retirement.
Betty brought light into the lives of all that knew her and will be sorely missed by all. Her yard full of flowers, holiday decorations and variety of pets and animals were a source of joy for many. She always had a smile and kind word for all and her door was always open with food on the table for anyone who entered.
