TAMI SUE (SWANK) CASE
Tami Sue (Swank) Case was born September 1, 1969 in Mount Ayr to Leonard and Charlotte (Combs) Swank. She graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1988.
After school Tami married Darrel Case and they had a son, Joshua Brandon Case. They made their home in Mount Ayr. They later divorced.
Tami worked for the Shamrock Café in Mount Ayr, Mount Ayr Health Care Center for at least 10 years and Dollar General for three years. She most recently worked for the Family Resource Center helping with child care. Tami had a heart of gold and loved working with all the kids, especially the babies and they all loved her.
Tami enjoyed babysitting for anyone any chance she could. She loved time with her dog, Muck, and going on motorcycle rides, most of all she enjoyed hanging out with her family especially her nephews and niece.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lyle and Georgine “Maggie” Swank and Lawrence and Grace Combs, and her uncle Danny Stewart.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Josh Case, parents, Leonard and Charlotte Swank, sister, Terri (Ron) Ruby, brother, Travis (Niccole) Swank, niece and nephews, Jesse Ruby, Brayden Swank, Jentri Ruby, Dawson Swank, Trenton Swank and Keaton Swank, many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Services were at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2018 at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
Officiating was Pastor Darin Dolecheck and Rev. Al Rusk.
Special songs were: “The Dance” and “When I Get Where I’m Going”.
Active casket bearers were Billy Jones, Mike Swank, Mike Sobotka, Rick Stewart, Mike Wimer and Jason Worthington. Honorary casket bearers were Jesse Ruby, Dawson Swank, Brayden Swank, Trenton Swank, Jentri Ruby and Keaton Swank.
Tami was laid to rest at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
Memorials are in her name to be decided later.
