CARL DWAYNE PEPPMEIER

Carl Dwayne Peppmeier son of Ruth J. (George) and Laurence Ray Peppmeier was born August 27, 1939 in Osceola, Clarke County, Iowa.
Dwayne grew up in Kellerton and graduated from Beaconsfield High School in 1957.
In 1964 he married Gloria Badgerow in Grand River, Iowa and in 1966 they made their home in Des Moines, Iowa. They later developed an acreage in rural Bondurant where Dwayne enjoyed gardening and raising calves.
Dwayne worked at various jobs in the Des Moines area, Massey Ferguson, Asplundh Tree Expert Company, Van Koevering Piano and recently Jacobson Warehousing, retiring in 2010. He made many long-lasting friends along the way.
Dwayne passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at the Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa after a stroke.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a nephew, Bobby Peppmeier. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 54 years, Gloria, two sons, Denny of rural Elkhart and David of rural Maxwell, grandson, Jacob of Elkhart, brother, Raymond (Julie) Peppmeier of Decatur, niece, Ann (Donnie) Erickson of Paton, two sisters-in-law, Susan Patton of Norwalk and Marcia (Lloyd) Querrey of West Des Moines, Debbie Eastburn, Penny Lesan, Shelly Eddy, Sheila Sagear, Holly Lucas, Jacque Richards, Julie Moore, Jodi Adamson, Jennifer Kieslar, and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were 230 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
Officiating was Pastor Terry Roberts.
Songs were “Railway To Heaven”, “Higher Ground”, “The Solid Rock”, “He Lives” and “The Auctioneer”.
Casketbearers were Denny Peppmeier, David Peppmeier, Jacob Peppmeier, Dale Hankemeier, Steve Boles and John Dillion.
Burial was at Maple Row Cemetery in Kellerton, Iowa.
Memorials are to Kavanagh Hospice House in Des Moines.
