WILLA WANETA POORE
Willa Waneta Poore, daughter of Michael Samuel and Ruth L. (Ellars) Crees, was born at the family farm near Grand River, Iowa on February 4, 1933.
Willa graduated from Beaconsfield High School with the class of 1951. On June 10, 1951, she was united in marriage to Duane Orville Poore at the Beaconsfield United Methodist Church. To this marriage, six children were born; Steven Duane, Douglas Earl, Cynthia Louise, Clinton Ames, Ruth Ann, and Donna Marie.
Willa was a devoted farm wife and homemaker to her family. Willa was a wonderful cook and she always had a big garden. Willa was very active in her church and she held many offices in the Beaconsfield Methodist Church and the Beaconsfield U.M.W. She enjoyed being a member of the Cozy Corner Club and she loved to square dance.
Willa passed away August 9, 2018 at the Mount Ayr Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on January 24, 2013; one sister, Patricia Crees; and three brothers, Willis Crees, Carl Crees, and an infant brother, Clarence Crees; parents-in-law, Orville and Pauline Poore; sister-in-law, Emily Poore; brothers-in-law, Ralph Jones and Leo Morgan.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Steven (Katherina) Poore of Hillsboro, OR, Douglas (Debbie) Poore of Mount Ayr, Cynthia (Ken) Stephens of Mount Ayr, Clinton (Pamella) Poore of Mount Ayr, Ruth Ann Gregg of Mount Ayr, and Donna (Joe) Warin of Maloy; grandchildren, Kimberly Reid, Christopher (Elizabeth) Nestlerode, Corissa (James) Guinn, Scott (Chandra) Poore, Kristen Poore, Matthew Poore, Josie (Wyatt) Mobley, Aimie (Robby) Larson, Caine Poore, Callie Poore, Braydee Poore, Ryan Gregg, Becca Gregg, Rachel Gregg, Katelyn (Jeremy) Maass, and Megan Warin; great grandchildren, Riley Reid, Joshua Nestlerode, Lillian Nestlerode, Andrew Nestlerode, Hunter Guinn, Carver Guinn, Cole Mobley, Kerrigan Mobley, Cody Larson, Tucker Larson, Tate Larson, and Karly Kay Poore; one sister, Barbara Jones of Leon, IA; two brothers, Ken (Bonnye) Crees of Pine Top, AZ and LeRoy (Velma) Crees of Brownstown, IN; three sisters-in-law, Peggy Crees of Dysart, IA, Carol Crees of Leon, IA, Darlene Morgan of Greenfield, IA; brother-in-law, Donald Poore of Kellerton, IA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa.

Special Songs were “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” and “I Can Only Imagine”.
Casketbearers were Scott Poore, Ryan Gregg, Cole Mobley, Caine Poore, Braydee Poore, Cody Larson and Matt Poore.
Honorary pallbearers were Josie Mobley, Callie Poore, Katelyn Maass, Aimie Larson, Becca Gregg, Megan Warin, Kimberly Reid, Rachel Gregg, Corissa Guinn, Kristen Poore and Christopher Nestlerode.
Willa was laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Grand River, Iowa.
