BOB DON MCCALLUM

Uncle Bobby Don McCallum was born in Dallas, Texas on December 23, 1944 to Grady and Margaret (Polley) McCallum. On December 29, 1961 Bobby joined the United States Navy and served until July 3, 1963.
Bobby loved to go fishing. He was a very giving person and loved to make everyone laugh. He traveled many years with work and made many friends along the way. Bobby worked in the carnival, later as a brick layer and several other jobs through the years.
Bobby is survived by his son, Jerome McCallum; brothers, Grady McCallum and Sammy Gamble; sisters, Linda McCallum, Becky Marlow and Polly Gamble; many nieces, nephews and extended family that loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nancy Margo McCallum and Martha Jo Gamble.
No services are planned at this time.
Burial will be at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter, Iowa.

    To whomever reads this…. This is Angela Benbenek from the VA. I lost contact with Bobby a few years ago between the phones switching and moving and havent been able to find contact with anyone… Till I found this. We were best friends and it breaks me to know I wasnt able to see him one last time, but I know he’s there.
