The Ringgold County Wellness Center Advisory Group says there is still time for residents to respond to their survey soliciting input concerning the future of recreational facilities available in the county.
With input from local stakeholders, the University of Northern Iowa’s Institute for Decision Making (IDM) has created a survey for Ringgold County citizens to use in sharing opinions and preferences for wellness and recreation options.
All survey data collected by UNI’s Institute for Decision Making is anonymous and confidential.
At a meeting later this spring, UNI representatives will present the survey data to the group and assist in discussions regarding future direction.
“No decisions have been made except to to move forward with this survey and the subsequent strategic planning,” said Abby Elliott, Advisory Group member. “The survey data is important to help guide the representatives of the stakeholder groups in outlining plans that reflect the priorities of the community.”
The stakeholders include representatives from county government, the City of Mount Ayr, Ringgold County Hospital, and Diagonal and Mount Ayr Community Schools.
“The public interest data from the survey will help drive the discussion and direction of the stakeholders when meeting to develop a vision for a facility,” added Elliott.
The survey is available online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/PoolWellness2019.
Those unable to complete the survey online are encouraged to complete a hard copy at Mount Ayr City Hall during business hours. These surveys will also be confidential and anonymous.
Community members should take the survey only once to ensure its validity.
