Slither into the Dragoon Trace Nature Center east of Mount Ayr to view an amazing traveling exhibit about snakes.

Ringgold County Conservation is pleased to host this traveling exhibit featuring a 69-foot-long, 10-foot-high plywood rattlesnake model. Exhibit visitors can walk inside the ribs and observe dioramas and graphics teaching facts about snakes. This exhibit also includes several exciting hands-on stations.
“Snakes, Rattles and Holes” was created by Purdue University, purchased and brought to Iowa by Dallas County Conservation.
