ROBIN COLEENA SCHWANDT

Robin Coleena Schwandt born March 10, 1958 in Powell, WY. She was adopted, along with her two brothers, Kelly and Richard, by Jamie and Donna Cawthorne. Robin grew up in Winner, SD. She enjoyed ranching and rodeos and was a rodeo queen. Robin then left home and lived some time on an Indian Reservation where she attended school.
Robin gave birth to Jennifer on August 8, 1977 and eight years later gave birth to another daughter, Misty, on March 8, 1985. Robin attended Iowa State University where she gained a paralegal degree. After living in Madrid, IA for some years, she moved to Mount Ayr, IA, where she married her long-time friend Douglas Schwandt on October 8, 2000. She then gained a stepdaughter Tiffany (Justin) and stepson Jarrod (Natasha).
Robin was a very active member in her community and began a career with Matura as a director for the Ringgold County Neighborhood Center. Robin had the passion to help others through her own life experiences. After a few years, she began having health issues and ended up opening her own Office Aides Corporation out of her home. After a long battle with her health, Robin finally was called home. She passed away peacefully at her home on April 13, 2019.
She was loved by her family and friends and community and will be missed. Robin loved animals especially her pets, Princess and Snickers and two cats. She loved attending any events for her grandchildren. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. On top of everything Robin was the biggest support to her family.
Grandma Robin was a great inspiration in leading her granddaughters Molly Anne and Teyanna to the Lord.
